Every third week of October, the Australian Water Association organises National Water Week and makes a splash across Australia, inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to build awareness around the value of water. Access to clean water is hugely important to our daily lives, and it’s down to all of us to protect our water environments and resources, and use water wisely.
Environment / Register your local site for Reef Clean
Tangaroa Blue Foundation are closing off Reef Clean Month with another push to the community to register a site along the Great Barrier Reef catchment for a clean-up. Tangaroa Blue, through the ReefClean Project, is calling on citizen scientists, schools, community groups, local governments, and all ocean lovers to participate in the GBR Clean-up.

St Crispins Cafe played host to a glamorous “Evening of Tropical Style” on Saturday, featuring fizz, finger food and fashion.
Creative energies from Whats On In Port, St Crispins, and Cairns & Port Douglas Creative, collaborated to host an evening to celebrate tropical spirit, style, and to be frank…simply making it through #COVID2020!
Environment / Rainforest Rescue and Converse join forces in Sydney’s latest sustainable public art project
Converse has teamed up with local Sydney artist, Elliott Routledge, to paint a mural in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, that not only cleans the air but also helps plant trees in Australia’s Daintree Rainforest. The design for the mural was created in collaboration with Rainforest Rescue
and draws inspiration from the fauna and flora of the Daintree, promoting the message that ‘Trees are the Answer’.

On Friday night the Douglas United Dragons hosted the Mareeba Bulls in a qualifying final, the winner going directly to the Grand Final in two weeks, the loser having to face the winner of third v fourth this week.
