Julatten State school celebrates 100 years this weekend, there is a Disability Expo in Cairns on Saturday, monthly markets and an annual Book Fair up in Yungaburra, Port Douglas State School’s Great Debate at the Clink..and plenty more!

Saturday is jam-packed with events-from Reef to Reef MTB, community markets in Wonga Beach, preliminary finals for the Port Douglas Rugby Union team, the second weekend of the 10 day BMUP extravaganza (Neil Murray is live there this weekend) and for music lovers (and fans of Selling Sunset), G Flip drumming at Tanks (Sold Out).

Set to grace the grounds of Wallaby Creek at 720 Shipton’s Flat Road, Rossville, from September 22 -24, 2023, prepare yourselves for a captivating blend of enthralling music, dynamic arts, amidst the splendour of this unique rainforest setting.

A gastronomic delight all weekend, with growers presenting at the Mossman markets, a seafood market, food and wine festival, sunset sessions, Sunday sessions, masterclasses, lovely long decadent lunches, bucking broncos at Mt Carbine, markets in Mareeba and beachside at Holloways, UFOs in Cardwell, Japanese dance and street food in Cairns…despite what the weather Gods are telling us, it’s ALL ON! Who needs the rain radar anyway ;)!

The Port Douglas Gran Fondo Festival is back for another year. Held between 8-10 September, the event has expanded for 2023, and organisers are putting together a volunteer army to support cyclists on and off-road.
